Soulmates are for??

 Tried updating this as a status on FB. But then I felt it won't be possible to accommodate this topic in a small space. So opting for the very old and very own approach – blog. 

        Disclaimer: Content of this blog is solely a result of my understanding, experiences and discussions with like-minded people. Any co-relation with any type of study or survey is merely a coincidence. 

        First of all, what is soulmate? How would I know if somebody is my soulmate or not? Is it always one or can it be multiple? 

        As per my experience, soulmates can be multiple and it can be of the same gender or the opposite. Now how would I know if someone is my soulmate or not? 

 A place where you want to go, and want to go very often. A place where there is no compulsion, no boundaries. A place which is your choice, and you are not going for some return and yet receive so much. A place where you belong. A place where your heart feels like roaming into a royal castle. A place so big that your soul starts expanding. 

        A person who sees you for who you are. A person with whom you don't need to pretend. A person with whom you can become a child and you can become a philosopher. A person with whom you forget what surrounds you. A person with whom you are completely inside you. A person whose presence matters the most and makes you feel the happiest. 

        A soulmate can read your mind without speaking. A soulmate brings you nearer to your own self. Sometimes we even wonder if we knew our ownself before meeting a soulmate. Did we even exist? A soulmate is a reflection of us. We may differ in size, gender, caste and profession. We may have different opinions on different topics. But the basic qualities and roots are common. A soulmate teaches us to love. First to love him/her, then to love our own self and then to love the common driving force present in each and every living being. 

        Technical reason: Now if we consider the universal driving force which is common across all living entities then why out of 6-7 billion people only those few are special and nearer to our soul? The only logical reason is karmic connection. Soulmates are designed to be together on the path of enlightenment. Soulmates are designed to guide each other when one of them is deviated from the path. They are supposed to remind each other of the higher purpose when darkness layers your purity. 

        The problem arises when we try to bind the relation so divine into the worldly names or we try to stretch the connection of soul to the body in order to gain possessiveness or just because we are confused as the society has always made us think this way. And this creates a complete mess. This delicate string may break if it can not tolerate the stretch and we will again have to wait till we again get the soulmate back or gain the understanding. 

        The one who makes you feel beautiful can never be on ugly terms. This may not sound practical. It is not about going platonic, it is about helping your ownself. If one of your part in the universe is not in sync with you, it will be impossible to be happy at peace. You should hold on to your best company for as long as possible. And if not possible to be together, at you should be on the level that you feel good whenever  you think about him/her. You should make the most of it so that when you are on the deathbed and you remember someone so special you should smile that you found him/her and you could know your core more rather than repenting that you could have behaved differently.
