Flashback !!!

After Jaiselmer, Udaipur & Chandigarh, one more trip of the year… @ Matheran!! Although it may sound unfair to dedicate this trip to the name of torrent, I think it is completely fair to do so as the basic motive to arrange a trip was to cherish the golden moments with wonderful friends who met on the grounds of torrent.

Coincidently the mix of 7 people contained equal number of people who have left the company and who are still part of the company (i.e. 3.5 have left and 3.5 have not??? Yes..because 1 is on notice period ;-) ). More than exploring a new place, focus was on being with a great company of friends whose worth is probably realized more after departing.

After a long, hectic & boring week, eyes were sparkled to see those familiar faces, ears were relaxed to hear familiar voices and hands were calmed to feel familiar touch. Even on the Friday night we felt so charged and energetic to talk. Nobody seemed to be interested in sleeping (other than Smita mam of course :-P). Everybody was more or less having the same feeling that, “Some rage, some wage and some percentage are responsible for this stage, otherwise who would like to depart from such friends at any age?”

Matheran proved to be an extra-ordinary place. Not just because of the beautiful roads, but because of walks interrupted by our photo sessions. Not just because of the natural silence, but because we filled woods with our noise. Not because we got answers, but because question which were disturbing us were at least discussed – not just personal issues, Raju’s MM configuration queries too :-P

The difference between our previous trips and Matheran’s trip was: we normally do not bother about who is paying, we can always sort out this point later in the office. We normally don’t care whose luggage is in whose bag, we can always return things if they are exchanged. We are normally least concerned who is taking photographs, we can always see all photos together at office in tea-breaks and comment on each & every pose :-). But this time it was not to be. We had to give extra effort to remind us that tomorrow onwards we won’t be together so keep everything in place. (and just because of our habit of neglecting things, monkeys took our snacks away :-( ;-) ).

The greatest relief was to know that everybody is feeling the same way. May we have moved forward for career benefits, but everybody do miss those great days. Now after working in different environment, we’ve realized difference between friends and colleagues. Relief is we are still in the same city and can still plan such more trips in future.

It feels like a game to be remembered is played on the grounds of torrent. I wonder if playing equipments were good or players were potent. It is not Good-Bye that hurts, It is Flashback that Follows!!! :-)

Loved it... felt like it came straight from your heart and touched our soul..
I agree abt d difference between friends and colleagues, couldn't be more starkly visible..
Loved d line: "Not just because of the natural silence, but because we filled woods with our noise"
Am too was thinkin of writin.. lets see when it happens :)
These are the ways of living the nostalgia, admiring the words, the feelings, the expression and the photos in black n white and sepia..
